Job Summary:

The In Vitro Pharmacology Senior Research Associate will be a key member of the team charged with developing, qualifying, and executing all in vitro assays. Candidates must have outstanding expertise in all aspects of in vitro pharmacology, assay development, validation, and compound screening. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively both in a collaborative setting and independently and possess outstanding written, visual and oral communications skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and validation of cellular assays
  • Screening and quantitative evaluation of compounds
  • Collaboration with multiple project teams to coordinate studies
  • Execution of vitro studies across multiple projects
  • Compilation of results into comprehensive reports
  • Transfer of assays to third-party contract research organizations (CROs)

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology
  • At least 8 years experience in pharma or biotech setting supporting medicinal chemistry programs
  • Demonstrated expertise in in vitro study design and techniques involving cell-based assays
  • Extensive experience in small molecule characterization using standard assay formats
  • Commitment to detail for study design and data organization

Additional preferred experience includes:

  • Experience coordinating external CROs
  • Expertise in biochemical assays
