Job Summary:
The In Vitro Pharmacology Research Associate will be a key member of the team charged with developing, qualifying, and executing in vitro assays. Candidates must have some background in in-vitro pharmacology; experience in assay development, validation, and compound screening is preferred. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively both in a collaborative setting and independently and possess outstanding written, visual and oral communications skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screening and quantitative evaluation of compounds
- Development and validation of cellular assays
- Collaboration with multiple project teams to coordinate studies
- Execution of vitro studies across multiple projects
- Compilation of results into comprehensive reports
- Transfer of assays to third-party contract research organizations (CROs)
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
You must have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology or a related field
- Experience working with mammalian tissue culture
- Experience in Molecular biology including cloning techniques and qPCR
- Demonstrated experience in in vitro study design preferably techniques involving cell-based assays for GPCR and Channels
- Experience in small molecule characterization using standard assay formats
- Commitment to detailed study design and data organization
Additional preferred experience includes:
- Stable cell line development
- Expertise in biochemical assays
