Job Summary:

The In Vitro Pharmacology Research Associate will be a key member of the team charged with developing, qualifying, and executing in vitro assays. Candidates must have some background in in-vitro pharmacology; experience in assay development, validation, and compound screening is preferred. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively both in a collaborative setting and independently and possess outstanding written, visual and oral communications skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screening and quantitative evaluation of compounds
  • Development and validation of cellular assays
  • Collaboration with multiple project teams to coordinate studies
  • Execution of vitro studies across multiple projects
  • Compilation of results into comprehensive reports
  • Transfer of assays to third-party contract research organizations (CROs)

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology or a related field
  • Experience working with mammalian tissue culture
  • Experience in Molecular biology including cloning techniques and qPCR
  • Demonstrated experience in in vitro study design preferably techniques involving cell-based assays for GPCR and Channels
  • Experience in small molecule characterization using standard assay formats
  • Commitment to detailed study design and data organization

Additional preferred experience includes:

  • Stable cell line development
  • Expertise in  biochemical assays
