Job Summary:

The In Vivo Pharmacology Senior Research Associate will be a key member of the team charged with developing, qualifying, and executing all in vivo assays.  Candidates must have outstanding experience in all aspects of in vivo pharmacology including model development and validation, formulation, dosing, pharmacokinetic sampling and necropsy. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively both in a collaborative setting and independently and possess outstanding written, visual and oral communications skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and validation of rodent pharmocodynamic models in multiple disease areas
  • Collaboration with multiple project teams to coordinate studies
  • Execution of in vivo rodent pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies including formulation of dosing solution
  • Compilation of results into comprehensive reports

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology
  • At least 5 years experience in a pharma or biotech company supporting medicinal chemistry programs
  • Demonstrated expertise in in vivo study design and execution
  • Extensive experience in small molecule characterization
  • Commitment to detail for study design and data organization

Additional preferred experience includes:

  • Experience coordinating external CROs
  • Experience drafting animal protocol amendments
  • Experience developing appropriate in vivo formulations for PK/PD studies
