Jay Galeota is President and Chief Executive Officer of Kallyope and serves on its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Kallyope, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Inheris BioPharma. Jay previously served as President of G&W Laboratories and as Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer and President, Emerging Business at Merck & Co. He is a 34-year industry veteran and spent 28 years at Merck, where he held diverse positions across commercial operations, business development, strategy, and innovation, globally and in the United States. Jay is one of the few leaders in biopharma whose depth of experience spans large pharmaceutical companies, generics, new company spin-offs, and biotech startups. He is known for his passion for innovation and development of breakthrough products and business opportunities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Villanova University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He served as an Independent Director at Melinta Therapeutics (MLNT) and Assertio Therapeutics (ASRT) and is on the boards of Hackensack Meridian Health and Harvard Business School’s Healthcare Alumni Association. Jay is also a member of Villanova University’s Dean's Advisory Council, is a guest lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and serves as Honorary Commander of the United States Air Force 113th Wing, District of Columbia Air National Guard. Jay is the co-author of publications in Harvard Business Review and Chief Executive.
